The fixtures are pencilled in for the Rugby Championship to be held in Australia and there is mounting speculation that world champs, South Africa may pull out of the tournament.
Rugby in South Africa has only just returned with little game time behind them, putting them at a disadvantage to compete. They haven’t played a serious game since beating England in the World Cup last year.
Coach Jacques Nienaber commented he would not favour competing in the tournament unless the chosen players had been involved in a minimum of six matches.
Argentina’s players have already arrived in Australia ahead of the tournament in order to prepare. However, if the Springboks pull out they will need to scrap the fixtures completely and say goodbye to South Africa vs Argentina match on November 7.
