Stonehenge Campsite & Glamping is a multi-award-winning 4-star site where you are welcome to make open campfires. You can purchase local produce like bacon, eggs and milk from the Little Shop, so no need to stress if you arrive empty-handed.

Motorhomes, caravans, campervans and tents are all welcome, or you can opt to stay in one of their luxury glamping pods.

This campsite is one of the few that are open all year round and is the perfect location to explore the beauty and heritage of the surrounding areas including Longleat, Salisbury and New Forest.

There is a cute communal kitchen with all the facilities you’ll need, even a washing machine and the ablution blocks are spotless. Overall the campsite is a gem.

While exploring the area we came across Woodhenge, another historical landmark worth visiting and in the nearby town of Amesbury we stumbled across a fantastic butcher, Kingman’s Traditional Butchers. You will be happy to note they often sell braai packs, well BBQ packs. The meat was outstanding and the butcher super friendly and informative. He sure loves his meat.

As South Africans who enjoy camping, we found this site amazing and would highly recommend it.

Visit their website for more information.
