Audience awards Mzansi Youth Choir the Golden Buzzer on AGT

Mzansi Youth Choir from Soweto, Johannesburg brought Simon Cowell to tears on America’s Got Talent.

The choir was so inspired by Nightbirde’s story, and her song “It’s OK”, they chose to cover it. The beautiful tribute left everyone emotional, and for the first time in AGT history the Golden Buzzer was awarded by the audience!

Musa Motha lights up the Stage with his final performance on BGT

Musa Motha wowed the audience at Britain’s Got Talent which led to all four judges pressing the Golden Buzzer. Originally from Sebokeng, he relocated to London last year.

Musa was diagnosed with bone cancer when he was 10 which led to the amputation of his left leg. He has not let his disability hinder his future, instead, he decided to dance and inspire others.

“Dance is the main priority. I’m currently stepping into acting as I want to be a movie star one day. I do motivational speaking, I’m a DJ and I also do video editing,” he explained.

His spectacular semi-final performance.

His dream was to reach the BGT finals and he did that with a phenomenal performance.

Although he did not win BGT, he definitely won hearts and lit up the stage with his final performance. The future is bright for Musa.

South African Shark Attack Survivor’s Short Film

0

Caleb Swanepoel was in Buffalo Bay with his brothers bodysurfing when he was attacked by a great white shark, which pulled him underwater and severed his right leg above the knee. His recovery was remarkable and within 3 days he was on crutches and on the road to recovery and within a few weeks he was back in the water. Interestingly, Caleb only began surfing after the incident.

Caleb has grown from strength to strength and has amazingly gone on to become a South African and Western Province Para-Surfing Champion and a National Para Swimming Champion. He describes himself as a South African dad, friend, brother, a motivational speaker, shark attack survivor and an athlete.

And now, his short film, And yet, I Remain, directed by Rick Wall and Dougal Paterson, is premiering at the Northern America Mountainfilm Festival, famous for screening independent documentary films.

A truly inspirational story.
